Please use cold water, iced water or mineral water to brew tea.
Tea which has been processed by boiling, frying or steaming such as green tea, oolong tea, black tea, Tieguanyin and so on, can be brewed with cold water because the tea leaves have been cooked.
Tea which has not been processed by boiling, frying or steaming is not suitable for cold-brewing. This includes: Floral tea, herbal tea, Chinese medicine, Cassia etc.
The best way to store cold-brewed tea is to place it in a refrigerator for 4-6 hours. Do not store it in the freezer.
1.Use cold water or iced water to brew tea. (It takes longer to brew tea with iced water).
2.Tea leaves which come in stripped form such as green tea, Long-Jin tea, black tea or Bao Jong tea should be brewed in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours.
3.Tea with semi-spherical tea leaves such as Oolong and Tieguanyin should be brewed in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours.
Refrigerated tea will retain its quality for about a week. If the tea is jostled in a car, or jostled from walking or running for 6 hours or more, the tea will lose its quality.
