Notices of Travel Buddy

◎NOT MICROWAVE SAFE
◎NOT DISHWASHER SAFE
◎DO NOT STORE IT IN THE FREEZER
◎To avoid scalding when water is hot, this product should not be operated by young children or children without adult supervision.
Before brewing
■ Clean with soapy water, rinse. It may be cleaned with boiling water.
■ Never scrub the pot with a brush or Scotch-Brite.
■ Do not place on direct fire or beside the stove.
■ When new, PC (Polycarbonate) material may release a slight odor when infused with boiling water. This is normal and will go away with use.
■ Never scrub the pot with bare fingers. (See drawing 1)
■ If washer or leak-stop silicone O-ring comes off, please reset it in accordance with drawing (see drawing 2) to avoid leaking.
■ Press and squeeze the air pressure-release knob until it seams before using. (See drawing 7)
■ If the straw falls out from the top or bottom follow the drawing below to put it back.
■ If leaking, please check if leak-stop silicone O-ring is properly set.
When brewing
■ Pour boiling water and wait till it cools to the appropriate temperature before drinking. To avoid scalding yourself, NEVER fill the bottle to more than 90% capacity with boiling water.
■ To prevent scalding, be careful while opening the lid.
■ When opening lid, NEVER hold and turn both lids at same time. Both lids may be opened in this way and you could easily scald yourself. (See drawing 3)
■ Make sure lids are tightened before transporting.
■ Do not use this product if there is any crack or defect.
After brewing
■ Pour out tea leaves. Turn the strainer upside down and tea leaves will fall out. Avoid using hard objects to dig them out. If small particles stick to the inside of strainer, please rinse the strainer from the outside toward the inside. ■ Top lid can be opened for rinsing. (See drawing 4) ■ To keep the pot transparent and clear, wash it immediately after use. ■ After long-term use, this product may develop coffee or tea stains. Soak the entire product for over 1 hour in a dilute solution of bleach (1:3000) suitable for food containers, and the stains should dissolve. After soaking, please rinse the bottle in boiling water until the odor of the bleach is completely gone.
Special Notice:If your Travel Buddy is leaking, please check the following
1.The hook of bag strap is pressed by the upper cap. (See drawing 5)
2.The silicone seals in the Upper lid and the Bottom lid are properly seated.
3.Water is stuck in the steam exhausting room (water does not enter the steam exhausting room in normal use, but may enter the room while cleaning.) Please keep the steam exhausting room clean. (See drawing 6)
4.If the upper silicone seal is sucked into the body of the bottle, please take it out and press the exhausting knobs (see drawing 7) 2-3 times. Then the seal will not be stuck again. Normally it happens when new or when not in use for a long time.

Before brewing
■ Clean with soapy water, rinse. It may be cleaned with boiling water.
■ Never scrub PC parts with a brush or Scotch-Brite.
■ Do not place PC parts on direct fire or beside the stove.
■ When using it initially, PC (Polycarbonate) material may release a slight odor. This is normal and odor will fade away with use.
■ Never scrub the pot with bare fingers.
■ Upon initial use and occasionally thereafter, it is a good idea to press the water-release knob to test for proper up-and-down operation. If the stainless steel ball is stuck, turn the inner cup upside down and use the eraser of a pencil to gently push the stainless steel ball. If the water-release knob can not operate properly, pull it up and press down until the stainless steel ball can move smoothly.
When brewing
■ Please be aware of temperature tolerance of this product.
■ The outer cup is made of glass,. Do not heat it when empty or expose it to extreme changes in temperature.
■ PC parts like the inner container, cover and handle must not be placed in a direct fire or near a stove.
■ Be careful not to burn yourself when pouring boiling water. Only add water to approximately 90% of capacity.
■ To avoid scalding yourself, be careful while lifting the lid. ■ To prevent scalding yourself, be careful when pressing the water-release knob.
■ When lifting the inner container, hold it by its upper edge to avoid scalding your hand.
■ To prevent falling and breaking, please place all parts on a flat surface when in use.
■ Please do not use this product when it is cracked or chipped.
After brewing
■ Pour out tea or coffee grounds instead of using hard objects to dig them out of the inner cup. Just turn inner cup over and the grounds will fall out. If small particles stick to the inner cup, add clean water and swirl the container a few times. Repeat this process one to three times as necessary to clean. ■ To keep inner and outer pot transparent and clear, wash them as soon as possible after use. ■ With long-term use, this product may develop coffee or tea stains. Soak entire product for 1 to 6 hours in a dilute solution of bleach which is suitable for food containers, and the stains will dissolve. After bleaching, rinse the containers in boiling water until bleach odor is gone. ■ After washing, dry the inner cup upside down. Do not place it upright until it is completely dry. Expansion and contraction with exposure to extreme temperatures, as well as the adhesive properties of tea, may cause the stainless steel ball to stick.
